my attempts at Haiku:
Spring Haiku
pink hair lifted up
by a lilac-scented breeze
'80s memories
I pull up the blind
the daffodils have blossomed
since two days ago!
Summer Haiku
house in summer woods
all beneath a curving tree
my love's arms round me
sounds of distant road
like waves soughing on a shore
summer evening
moon in clear black sky
jasmine-scented by the breeze
japanese woman
Autumn Haiku
a leaf on the steps
I climb to reach my front door
first breath of Autumn
plane in Autumn sky
can anyone inside it
sense my lonesome gaze?
a heap of dry leaves
alone in empty darkness
at my bus stop
Winter Haiku
small red tinsel tree
dressed with "pearls" white balls top star
first Christmas moment
hanging ballet shoes
filled with lace-screened pot pourri
Christmas memories
glass door's tinsel wreath
loneliness comes as I pause
to watch snow drifting
vase of yarn flowers
past the window just the murk
of winter gardens
red lamp in the dark
with winds whooshering outside
snugly me in bed
black cat mewling close
yellow crescent moon behind
bare twiggy branches
such a dismal day
but on this window sparkle
a thousand raindrops
hail hits the window
before which I wash dishes
I remember the sun
wind-driven snowflakes
the eyelashes of my love
looked so much like these
Non-Seasonal Haiku
new moon reflected
in next apartment’s sky-lights
dark silence of the night
